Domain Registration Terms
Version 2026-10-02. These terms apply when you register, renew or manage a domain name through iDeskHubs, in addition to our Terms of Service and Refund Policy. iDeskHubs acts as a reseller: domains are registered through our accredited registrar partner, Porkbun LLC (United States), and you also agree to the registrar's registration agreement and to the policies of ICANN and the registry for your extension (for example .com, .org, .io).
1. You are the owner
The domain is registered in the name of the registrant you enter at checkout, and that person or organisation is the legal owner. iDeskHubs manages the domain on your behalf from our registrar account so that we can renew it and set up DNS for you.
2. Accurate registrant details
ICANN requires accurate, complete contact details for every domain. You must provide true details and keep them up to date. The registry may email the registrant to verify the email address; if it is not verified within 15 days the domain can be suspended. Domains with false details may be suspended or cancelled by the registry without refund.
3. WHOIS and privacy
Registrant details are sent to the registrar and the registry and may appear in the public WHOIS/RDAP directory. Where the extension supports it, we apply WHOIS privacy so that a proxy contact is shown publicly instead of yours. Some extensions do not allow privacy, and registries and law enforcement can always see the underlying details.
4. Availability and price
Availability and price are checked live but are not guaranteed until the registration completes. If the price rises or the name becomes unavailable between checkout and registration, we will contact you before charging any difference, or refund you as described in the Refund Policy. Premium names are quoted separately.
5. Renewal and expiry
- Domains are registered for the number of years you pay for and do not renew automatically. We send a renewal invoice about 30 days before expiry and reminders after that.
- If you do not pay before the expiry date the domain stops working (website and email), and after the registry's grace period it can be deleted and registered by someone else.
- Restoring a domain in the redemption period is sometimes possible for a restore fee charged by the registry, which we pass on at cost plus a handling fee.
- It is your responsibility to pay renewals on time. We are not liable for loss arising from a domain expiring after we sent the renewal invoice.
6. Transfers
You may transfer your domain to another registrar at any time after the ICANN 60-day lock that follows registration or a change of owner. Ask us for the authorisation (EPP) code and we will provide it within 5 business days, provided there are no unpaid invoices for the domain. Transfers in from another registrar are handled on request.
7. Prohibited use and disputes
You must not register or use a domain that infringes someone else's trademark or rights, or for spam, phishing, malware, fraud or unlawful content. Disputes over domain ownership are subject to the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) or the registry's equivalent, and we and the registrar will comply with any decision. We may suspend a domain as required by the registrar, the registry, a court or a regulator.
8. Refunds
Domain registrations, renewals and transfers are non-refundable once completed with the registry. See the Refund Policy for what happens if a registration cannot be completed.
9. DNS and connected services
If we host your website or email, we configure DNS for you. If you change nameservers or DNS records yourself, or ask us to, we are not responsible for downtime that results from those changes.
